Cinema Iride, is the result of the passion and dedication of Joel Fioroni who, in September 2022, took the helm of the former cinema run since 1987 by Ferruccio Piffaretti of the Maghetti Foundation. Joel’s connection to the world of cinema goes way back when he began volunteering at the same cinema, cultivating his love for the seventh art and honing his skills until he graduated from CISA. His entrepreneurial venture in the industry is not new; back in 2015 he took over Cinema Lux in Massagno, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the promotion of film culture.
With the reopening of Cinema Iride, Joel has introduced a number of new features and improvements, including a state-of-the-art technical infrastructure that ensures an optimal viewing experience. The cinema is open every day of the week, seven days a week, and offers varied programming including first-run films, often in collaboration with Cinema Lux in Massagno, thus strengthening a synergistic link between the two theaters. This renovated cultural space not only enriches the cultural life of the local community, but also represents a symbol of continuity and renewal in the cinema scene, keeping the traditions of the past alive while introducing innovative elements for the future.
